This Scheme is designed to provide registered Apprentices with the skills and competencies required by carpenters in the construction industry. The areas covered are:
- Hand tools and workshop procedures
- Powered tools, wood working machinery
- Timber and other material, formwork
- Safety procedures including the use of scaffold
- Windows, doors, frames and linings
- Stairs, shoring and hoarding, setting and levelling
- Floors and partitions
- Roof work
- Repairs and maintenance
- Finishing
We invite you to use our new Online Application Portal to submit your application to the Barbados Vocational Training Board.
