Participants will be taught the basics of Masonry – how to read and understand the measuring tape, introduction to batching and mixing materials, block wall construction and laying out foundations.

  • What is the Admissions Policy for the In Plant programme?

    Employers wishing to access training through the In-Plant Programme should communicate the request in writing to the Director of Training. If the programme that the client is interested in is not readily available, a new course is developed for the programme.

  • How much is the stipend?

    The stipend is calculated based on attendance. If all sessions are attended, the stipend is $75.00 per week and it is paid every two weeks.

  • What is the cost of each programme?

    Only the Evening Programmes have an associated cost. This ranges between $150 and $400. For information on specific classes, please visit our Evening Programmes section.

  • C. Lomer Alleyne Skills Training Centre

    The CLA centre is where most of the Board’s Evening programmes are held. It is known for its Agricultural and Engineering programmes. CLA is the BVTB’s largest centre and it continues to be expanded.
