- What is an Apprenticeship?
Apprenticeship is a voluntary contractual training programme between the employer and apprentice which is ratified by the Director of Training of the Board.

- How do I become an Apprentice?
Completing an application form gets the process started. After this you must be:
- interviewed by an inspector and a potential host employer
- Accepted by the employer
Persons under 18 years must also be examined by a medical practitioner who will certify that they are fit.

- What is the cost of each programme?
Only the Evening Programmes have an associated cost. This ranges between $150 and $400. For information on specific classes, please visit our Evening Programmes section.

C. Lomer Alleyne Skills Training Centre
The CLA centre is where most of the Board’s Evening programmes are held. It is known for its Agricultural and Engineering programmes. CLA is the BVTB’s largest centre and it continues to be expanded.
