Plumbing - Beginners

Participants in the beginners programme will be taught how to join pipes, service faucets, service appliances, toilet and basins.

Below are a few FAQs pertaining to this programme or course:

What qualifications do I need to take an Evening programme?

No qualifications are required. Some advanced courses require that the beginners’ course be taken first.
What is the Admissions Policy for the In Plant programme?

Employers wishing to access training through the In-Plant Programme should communicate the request in writing to the Director of Training. If the programme that the client is interested in is not readily available, a new course is developed for the programme.
Who can become an Apprentice?

Anyone of school leaving age or over, who is desirous of being trained in a field in which a scheme of training is offered, is eligible.

C. Lomer Alleyne Skills Training Centre
The CLA centre is where most of the Board’s Evening programmes are held. It is known for its Agricultural and Engineering programmes. CLA is the BVTB’s largest centre and it continues to be expanded.

I found my apprenticeship to be beneficial and I gained experience in the Autobody trade. I would recommend the programme to others. Having completed my Apprenticeship, I continue to work as an Autobody Technician at Collision One.
